"It’s all about the Curries"

There is a misconception about curry which is, it has to be HOT but a curry is so much more than just a single element. Curries vary with spice combinations, colours and taste,

The word Curry comes from southern India, “KARHI” meaning “sauce”

 When it comes to taste, spices provide an endless variety of possibilities and it’s some of these combinations that chef is going to walk you through but not just Curries from India, as the world has embraced Curry and with so many warm countries with their own dishes and regional ingredients, such as Thai cuisine which is centred around coriander, ginger and it curries are mainly coconut milk based to the West Indies, like Jamaica, where tomatoes and onions are the foundation for its curries with the scotch Bonnet chili providing the heat.

 When making a curry the number one rule is: “It should be a perfect blend”

 NO ONE SPICE SHOULD DOMINATE THE DISH, UNLESS YOU THE COOK WANTS IT TOO.

 About the class

 This is a fast fun packed class with so many ingredients to taste, we will show you the flavours from around the world, countries like Thailand, Jamaica and India.

 Each Curry has its own authentic ingredients that we use from their respective countries, you will learn the best places to purchase your ingredients so when recreating what you have learnt it will taste great every time.

 You don’t have to have an understanding of curries to attend this class just a love for them, the dishes you prepare will each be tasted by chef to ensure the balance of fine spices, herbs and seasoning are just right.
