Food Preparation
Time to Get Serious

Beginners - Level one

This six-week beginners cookery club covers basic skills and techniques, with each of the sessions providing a good foundation of food knowledge, teaching how to balance recipes and how to produce dishes of quality with good flavours and presentation.

Learning basic skills, recipes and understanding them is fundamental because they provide the framework for any successful cook.

In the course we cover fish, meat and vegetable preparation as well as learning how to create desserts from start to finish.  You will be shown knife skills and taught the principle of 'Mise en Place' which is a French term that means 'having everything in place' - allowing you to cook with ease and confidence.

The Beginners club is perfect for those that do little cooking and would like to build their confidence in the kitchen. This class is also good for people that want to get into cooking, someone who wants to understand recipes better, wants to know about cooking terminology - e.g. when a recipe says 'add a pinch' we finally tell you how much this should be!

We also create a fun and relaxed environment to make the learning experience more enjoyable, so pleas call or email if you'd like more information.

The classes run weekly starting at 6.30pm till 9.00pm (Please check dates). If you are interested please join our waiting list as availability is very limited, and courses start dates are every 6 weeks.

Once we've added you to our waiting list you will then receive a 4 week notification telling you when there is a free space.
